Karl Baker Regional Officer the National Organisation of Beaters and Pickers Up
Having grown up in the delightful countryside of North Wales, I think a passion for rural pursuits was in my blood. Bribed into beating from an early age, it soon started to grow on me and carried on into my teenage years. Unfortunately, growing up brought responsibility and work took me abroad for a few years. I was fortunate enough to enjoy the countryside of different parts of the globe, but always found the time to return to England to pursue my interest in this great pastime.
Now living in Surrey and working in London, my time is still spent beating, picking up and now promoting NOBs, not forgetting holding down a full time job.
I think the Organisation is fantastic and the pleasure of introducing people into the countryside, finding them beating, whether novice or experienced certainly provides great satisfaction.
I am always willing to help and answer any questions you may have.
